As always I leave total freedom to omit the relationship with that theme/history to final owner.
Short story: Experiments were part of his life, even if he had to dodge ethical standards. For a long time he experimented with humans and other vampires, trying to achieve a less dangerous method of genome transformation for both. He lost the moment when his fondness for human blood became an obsession and his experiments were increasingly bloody. Although almost the entire actual process was based on what he managed to find out, at that time he was criticized and denounced by his ex-officio colleagues. When the exterminators arrived at his mansion, they found a scientist who lost almost all sanity. There was no need to investigate his case. The extermination order was instantaneous. However, he survived the process and spent many years locked up, he continued doing small experiments (in the absence of volunteers) with himself and opened second genome, which cooled his blood and his mind. This fact didn´t go unnoticed in the eyes of the director who offered him a job inside the club, thinking that he could produce more good than bad.
