A picture I thought I'd upload here for your visual pleasure.
This is a picture from the Rutgers New Brunswick campus bamboo grove.
Taken on a nice April day the bamboo seen here was growing twenty to thirty feet high and was about a hand (4") thick. Many of the culms in the garden were too high even for bamboo's legendary strength and had bent over right to the ground.
Bamboo is such an interesting plant. Enjoy.
For those who want to know: Shutter, 1/350th; f-number, 10; ISO equiv., 400; focal length, 22 mm; no flash; equipment, Nikon D200.
