I went through this huuuuge stage where I was drawing everything on graph paper[again, see past adventures here], and even if I wasn't doing that, I had abandoned my still functioning scanner in favor of rough, low-res cameraphone shots, actually taken from the very phone that Esther is looking down at.
I still really, really love this one and I guess one downside to the camera on an OG Motorola Droid[Milestone up here in Manitoba], is that even if I wanted to, I could never make this at a decent print resolution.

This might not fit here, but this just popped into my mind when I saw the image as it looked like Esther was mourning the loss of someone, so here I go...ahem; “Every night I think of him, how he’d give me a crooked smile and a thumbs up to show me he was alright, how we’d spend time outside the barracks to party, how we’d see who could get the highest score at the firing range. Sigh, if only he hadn’t gotten on that transport, maybe he’d still be here.”
