Activating the communicator on the wall, Bixxti calls someone, wanting to have a chat.
Little does she know, the "pretty glass ball" she was given by the lab team earlier was actually a prototype portable holographic emitter, set to activate on a timer!

The portable version's pretty limited, each orb only really supports generating one hologram at a time, and while the personality settings are intact, their bodies aren't nearly as adjustable and they can't be used to generate/transport any liquids or gases.
The team working on the device are trying their hardest to get the portable version to function like normal holograms do in the holographic rooms, but they're not convinced it's physically possible. After some deliberation, the project is shelved, but they decide to keep the design and prototypes for anyone's use, figuring that the defunct holograms might still be useful here and there.
A few of the more stubborn members of the team decide to stick with the project a little longer to see if they can't shrink the device or make the glow a little less intense, but otherwise the project is done.
