The torch gag was a poor joke I threw in at the last minute that's confused a lot of people.
Kathy refers to "are there any myths explaining why we female hyenas have penises" and Fred responds "where do you think he hid the torch?" In his pants, of course.
But that doesn't explain why the sheyenas are so endowed. Even if I say "Well, he entered the Palace of the Sun dressed as a female, with the torch in his pants for good measure because the guards wouldn't search a female" it still doesn't explain why the sheyenas have packages.
Unless you think that the angry Sun-God then cursed female hyenas to actually have penises in revenge for Ku Pakai saying they did.
And who is this Sun-God? We know that the old Crocutans had three-headed Amerait, who is their goddess of life, death, and war; Amerait's two-headed consort Orthrus, both furious warrior and mild servant in one; and her trickster daughter Krokutta. No Sun-God here.
So the Lion is the God of the Sun, and this fire myth also explains why hyenas will steal from lions at every opportunity.
Ku Pakai, incidentally, was a mortal hyena who achieved divine status for his acts of daring and cleverness.

This is one of those "I can't leave well enough alone" things.
I threw in "Ku Palai" because of an episode of Gilligan's Island, where Gilligan resembles a totem of Kupakai, an ancient island god.
Then I found out that in Hawaiian, "Ku Pakai" means "to fly." I put together a Crocutan myth to explain why Fred was dressed up as this "Prince Ku Pakai." In an actual African myth, Hyena brings the sun to warm a frozen Earth, so I made a myth incorporating flying, the Sun, and how the hyena got its spots.
Now of course I'm wanting to write out the story of Ku Pakai...and why female-dominated hyenas revere this guyena. If we humans have female war gods, then the Crocutans can have a male fire god.
