Immortality isn’t only a gift but a horrible curse as well, seeing others age and fade while you remain the same, never changing as the world around you does…”

Quite the strong and emotional piece.
I do agree though that outliving those who come to accept you and those you come to cherish is indeed the most prominent curse of being a vampire. We hide in the shadows as creatures that regularly kill or weaken to survive. Though we may find a few who embrace our sorrow or our personality, yet do we inflict onto them the same fate out of selfish desire or do we let them pass as they are?
Such thoughts lead many of our kind to disconnect from their morality or to be lost in grief.
If only we can find one of our kin to consol with our if those we cherished truly wished to join us... Alas both are hard to find. But they do exist, Lady Vermillion.
