Okay time for some more game maps for what i fantize what half life 2 episode 3 will be like.
okay i left gordon and alyx at the enterance to the restiance base. so lets continue from there. The name of this short one is concret laybrinth.
We start on the bottom left corner here
Alyx and gordon quickly discover that the base has fallen as they have to take out three combine sholders in the hall and four more from a room on the left wall of the hall
gordon takes out the combine in the room with a gernade and after dealing with the other three in the hall, he and alyx proced to a set of stairs in a fairly large room with five exits and five combine sholders. Alyx decides to stay up stairs and fire down into the room while gordon goes down and takes out some more enemies. Once the combien are down and out, Alyx makes a coment about how quickly the combine took over the base and how she hopes dr. mossmen is alright.
After Aylx's statment, the duo find out that only one of the five gates can be opend and enter it. Beyond it si a short hall leading to a door. However, the door is auto locked due to no electicty flowing through the keypad (think half life two episode 1) She sugests that gordon do some vent crawling to see if there is another way forward. Gordon goes into the vent, which is rather short as vents go and finds a dead resitanc fighter with some smg ammo. Gordon takes the ammo and heads down the angled hallway toward a small storage room that holds a shotgun which he takes the ammo from.
If he had wanted to, Gordon could have checked out the room on the other end of the hall and find a crowbar. Back in the current room, there is anothe rvent on the other end of the room, but geting to it is trickly as there is a faint trip mine beam infront of the vent. It isn't clear if the mine was set by the resitance or the combine. Either way the way to remove it as gordon demestrates is to use the gravity gun to launch a barrell at it.
Once the trap is gone, Gordon moves down the vent and finds that it opens into the room that is oppisit the eletronicly locked door. The room itself is very dark and there is an auto turret at the end of the room. As long as he stays very close to the wall, the turret won't see him and he can knock it over. But he must also be carefull as there are three headcrabs in this room and they atack him while he is trying to knock over the turret. With both head crabs and turret down, he can now go over to the junction box and restore power to the room, causing the door to open and for alyx to join gordon again.
An added bonus of having the power back on is the gate at the end of the room where the head crabs were has opened, granting you passage into the room beyond. The hall ends rather abruptly as it has caved in not far from it's entrence. There is a way forward in the form of a big hold in the left wall. But when gordon and alyx try to enter it, four combine gaurds ambush them from the sides of the hole. Once the gaurds are down, Gordon must wait as alyx must once again make her way across a wide pit on a thin ledge (the ledge wouldn't hold gordon as that suit of his adds a lot of weight.)
It takes a few minutes for alyx to cross. Durring this time, alyx coments one how few bodies they have seen since they had entred the base. sure there are a lot of combine but where are the humans? Once across, Alyx goes beyond Gordon's sight and comes back with a latter that she uses to bridge the gap so gordon can join here on the other side.
They enter a room that conects via a closed gate the the first big room of the base. Alyx makes a coment about going round in cricles juat as three combine sholders atack from the top of a catwalk. Once the combine are gone, alyx may or may not (depending on how much ammo gordon has left) coment on how low she is getting on ammo.
From here, the duo proced up the stairs and onto the catwalk the combine were on. The combine should have some amo around them but there is a chance that they dont. From here they go down another hall that ends in a cave in and exit into a side room on the right hand wall. Inside is a long room with seven beds, a dead resitance fighter, some amo, and two enemy hopper mines. Gordon should move the mines toward the small hole in the wall at the other end of this room as five random type of head crabs will be comeing through it once alyx coments on the body on the ground.
With the head crabs gone, alyx goes through the hole and beckons you to folow her. They both go down a short rocken tunnel between rooms and come out another hole into a storage room with five combine fighters ready to ruin their day. Our duo takes cover in the rocken tunnel untill the combine are defeated. There are two exits from the room, the one in the wall at the other end of the room from the vent is covered in ice from a burst pipe while the othe rleads to a gated door with a health pack on the floor and a ventlation grill. Gordon is sent once again into the metal tunnel as alyx waits behind for him to find a way for them to proced.
At the othe end of the vent, is another storage room with a broken turret, more ice, and a sandbag sheter. Now i know what youa are thinking, why didn't gordon just use a gernade to blow the ice up. Well on the side that you first encoutner the ice, the room is filled with exploseive stuff like gas and flamble barrels. So it is best to shater the ice from the side that gordon is on now. With the ice gone, alyx tries to join gordon but it is at this time that a 3 minuet long onslot of head crabs pour out of the vent that gordon used to enter this room.
After the last crab falls, alyx rejoins you and uses her hand held device (what is it called?) to hack open the door. but she doesn't go in as she and gordon can both see the faint blue lights and dead bodies that are tell tail signs of auto turrrets. You see another vent in the room where you blew the ice so go in it and gordon comes out behind the first turret. you can see now that the turret couldn't have been taken out from the main hall as it is behind a mesh wire gate. But gordon came in through a vent behind it so he can knock it over. With it out of the way, gordon can return to the hall and enter a second vent. This one exits next to the second auto turret. Take it out and both alyx and gordon can continue down the hall and enter the room on the right wall.
Right into another ambush by five combine sholders. After the bullets and what not stop flying, and the one head crab is dead, alyx and gordon conintue to the end of the room and god down and then back up two flights of stairs into a rouynd room with a cat walok that they must walk around and up a third set of stairs. which exit into a hall. this hall is the longest yet and is fairly emptly. But be careful fo the lone combine here as he might shoot you into falling down the emptly elevator shaft to Gordon's death. From here it is up one more set of stairs to a cofromtaton with three more combien. With them out of the way....

Well you must be very psyched for when Episode 3 comes out. That would be really cool i would say. I will say however that of it does come out i probably won't be able to play it for a while due to the fact that my computer can't handle Portal. I can see though why you are excited though. After the greatness known as Left 4 Dead 2 who know what episode three will be like.
