Been a little while since I've drawn Aster. I'm trying to push that manga style approach with my images of Aster. I looked at manga covers for the color and rendering, and I think it turned out quite successfully!
I played around a bit more with the watercolor style brushes and I'm really enjoying them. I'd totally recommend Clip Studio. Best of all, unlike Photoshop there is no subscription. You just buy the license and its permanent. Unless you work on certain mobile devices, then that's a different story.
Random detail, but I finally saw the Akira movie. Man...the animation was gorgeous.

Wow love the shading done here. And this was your first time seeing the Akira film? Interesting considering that it is a film from 1988. Speaking of that the film was animated by the studio TMS(Tokyo Movie Shinsha) who were the same studio that did works such as Sherlock Hound, Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers, Tiny Toon Adventures and Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland.
