So if fifteen burly guys in grass skirts came over to you and started doing a mildly-suggestive haka dance in front of a roomful of your boss and her board of directors, wouldn't YOU sink under the table?

Great practical jpke by the lads! The Lieutenant is probably red as a tomato
Reading it following the music makes it even funnier

They already played the Liberty Bell March, you have to consider they may be being sincere
I would have liked to do more of a production number with this, but it would have just been "vamping."
I've intended to have this scene in here for years--I drew a hyena in the dance costume several years ago and posted it on Deviant Art. It just took me longer than expected to get here!

Now add the Maori Haka, the rattles on their spears, and the jingling shells on their hips and legs, and you have an idea of what this sounds like!
And that's why Fred's slid under the table.
As I've mentioned on other discussion boards--Gihuli, the singer, saw Fred fondling Kathy on the bridge of the Loweza. And so did Captain Wylde. They're roasting him right now. This is breaking protocol, because the engagement has not been formally announced.

Does this count as "That Darn Blasted Rock'n Roll" that is forbiden by death in their country? Or does the more traditional chanting help cover up that fact?
(Seriously, I am actually quite shocked by how "tame/mello" most R'nR songs actually are. Is that weird for me to say, especially after that wild party that happened back when?)

This falls more under the "native chant" label.
Kathy's grandfather Reggie wanted to be a screechy-guitar-and-drums type garage band musician. And he was terrible at it. He was sort of the hyena version of Spinal Tap. In fact he was so bad, Songween considered turning off all the electricity in the city just to keep him from being able to plug in his amps.

Incidentally, I had drawn the dance costume a long time ago:
