And the last of my Issue 9 postings.
Rather dramatic and Escheresque, if I do say so myself. And hopefully ambiguous, since it does relate to what's in this issue.
I ended up redrawing the pencils about five times, trying to find the right angle for the walls. It didn't help that around the third time in, I decided that I wanted Doug there (it had started with just Cody and Thor) and I had to rebalance everything around him, too.
While I have been pretty good about sticking to mostly 100% marker colorings, I did tweak a few things here. All of the character and background art is exactly as it appears on paper, but I did have to digitally add the sky, glass, and fire fades, and all the smoke (I thankfully saved a hi-res scan of this before I tried coloring the smoke by hand, which turned out to be major FAIL).
The titles went even worse than the pencils, also taking five different concepts (mostly in bright orange coloring to match the bottom) before settling on the computer-altered and colored versions here.
I just hope it looks good when the printer is finished with it.
Speaking of which, I do NOT have ordering info now, and *yes* I know the website for ordering has been down. I will have FULL information on that in a separate journal entry next week, after I upload a few more things...

She's back online now, though she's unable to accept credit cards at the moment.

Though you may want to hold off until #9 is ready for sale, it'll probably be up in February.

She's still working on it...but www.merchandisemaven.com is at least up and running. I believe paypal and check/money order are still options, but she hasn't gotten credit cards going yet.
