Did I really never upload this?
Last year on the flight(s) home from FC, Amran and I took our heads (he took his handpaws too - curse me for not thinking of that!) as carry-on.
So when we were bored between flights we asked a security guard if we could don them and take photos of each other. She said "Of course you can!" and asked us to put them on in front of her - not to see if they were dangerous - because she just wanted to *see* them before we wandered off :D I suspect she was very bored haha
Here I am on the moving sidewalks. The absolute BEST part was seeing people's faces as we slid by. Most just did their best to totally ignore us - but some were hilarious.

FANTASTIC
Some friends and I theorize it's quite possible to fly in full costume, TSA approved, for those highly daring. Many of my friends costume very strictly, no breaking character, so in thinking of them I asked TSA a couple of questions. TSA's rules regarding burkas help us out in this regard. Me, being in a wheelchair, I already get the "aside" screening required for this, it's still quick and painless.
***WARNING UNTESTED
Be sure to get your ticket with the airline's automated system for auto-checkin or pre-checkin.
When you arrive at the checkpoint, show them ID and your boarding pass as usual, and either gesture or say you would like a private room for ID.
Remove all costume parts and put it in the tray.
They will scan you with a hand wand, and swab your hands and feet and run the samples through a scanner, then pat you down by hand.
Wait for the tray to return and don all again.
***AGAIN WARNING UNTESTED
But once I get a suit I'll be right there in line.
The answers to my questions to TSA were pretty much, "as long as we can feel or magnetically scan everything, you're alright."
Good hunting!
