Ringneck ups his offer to Crow to become one of his proxies by unlocking memories of his life before becoming a mass produced, spliced metamorphic hybrid that him and his twin brother are(Among many, many others). RC's bladed ring finger can heal others when the claw is glowing bright yellowish orange, able to not only heal others, but also can resurrect the recently deceased and restore memories from past lives or their current life that had been forgotten..
Knowing who he once was brings loads of trauma that he had no idea happened, almost shattering his mind completely from the overload of information and memories. At 23, Crow finally finds out that he was once a human man who volunteered to be a part of the first successful batch of hybrids. He will refuse to let DD know and will go as far as destroy any evidence of their tragic history before being changed into what they are now..
