This painting was one of my longer ongoing work in progress pieces, out of the small originals I carry around during my travels. It felt special from the beginning, so I didn't want to push it too far too fast and mess it up by being impatient.
This is the first piece where I've rendered my character as having wings rather than arms-- perhaps it's this piece itself which made me acknowledge that as an alternate form of the character, and to consider the meaning of such. It feels like a window into those potential explorations down the road.
