Well, it's been a while. I imagine there are not many left around who remember the series much.
So. Hands. Into paws. That is a thing that happened here. His hands are now thick, not-very-maleable paws and sharp claws. Pretty scary stuff considering how many of us rely ridiculously highly for our hands to work as naturally and automatically as possible. I can see how hand transformations have a genre of their own.
I imagine many think it's a bad thing this kid just lost his hands and, perhaps, the only thing left on him that was human. But I like to think about the positive side of things. Some friends say in this case, the kid won't have to worry about pulling his own ears anymore.
As for me, I'm just glad that's one less color I have to worry about.

Yes, the part of TF I like most.
Of course, it's not pleasant to be unable to play Nintendo. But to be able to run fast using only your own body, you have to sacrifice something. =^.^=
And the most interesting that dogs/cats have exactly same bones in their forepaws as we in our hands, most differences are in pads and fur. For pokemons - they are quite more specialized, having only 3 toes instead of 5.
