Enter new Character! ... Or should I say, character re-design!
So for context, z-12 originally started out as the most unoriginal Sonic recolor you could imagine... Slap some red stripes into Sonic and voila, you get z-12's "old" design... fav.me/d16q8x6
Yeah... Not proud of it, but I guess everyone has their humble origins, lol.
Anyways, story time!
z-12 is an amnesiac who one day woke up in an abandoned lab, he has no true recollection of his life before his awakening, not even his own name, only vague memories of growing up around scientists and technicians, but even those memories are super fuzzy.
He gives himself the name "z-12" because that's the name written on the stasis capsule he woke up on, this laboratory is also located in the planet Jixie, a planet in a dimension completely different from earth, it is on this planet where he ends up spending most of his adventures, facing a world that has managed to find the right balance between nature and technology, but also a world where forces beyond it want to ensure only technology prevails.
z-12 can be arkward and a little shy at times, but he's really smarter than he looks, even in his amnesiac state he carries plenty of knowdledge in robotics and bionics, he has no powers of any kind, so in order to defend himself, he developed an exo suit for his arms and legs that greatly enhances his strenght and speed and give him a fighting chance in case of danger, while also giving him an edge while slowly restoring the laboratory where he woke up, his only home.
And that's what I got so far, conceptually I've been trying to get my characters more and more separated from the works I inspired them on, wich is why it felt better to make him a Jixian, rather than a mobian, even if by design he's still technically a Sonic OC, still, I've come to learn this separation opens up infinite possibilities to make something more original!
lately i've been on a Sonic mood lately, so expect to see more!
