i cant believe i never uploaded this guy before!! well.

this is desoto, he is patch and detroit’s record dealer and band manager!
desoto grew up in a naturally wealthy family, he’s even had voice lessons himself and can sing pretty good. he’s fond of the two and treats them like sons; he went to school even with detroit for a little bit before moving once again as he had been his whole life.
desoto is VERY charismatic, suave, and knows how to sell a good show!! he knows what the people love and is happy giving it to them. unfortunately, he just can’t bring himself to share his boys, they’re his current pride and joy.

despite his mannerisms and personality, there lies a lot of hurt and troubled past in desoto, too.

desoto’s mother started out as a business woman- no time, no fun, and all work. she lived a generally high stress life during this time, but eventually landed a job as a news reporter for a short while! after her face started showing up again and again on tv, it was only a matter of time she was scouted for her good looks and expressions all while delivering the news.
with newfound confidence (and maybe just a little happier in life) and piles of cash, she made it her goal to thank the anonymous person who landed her into stardom- by founding a small company of her own for talent scouting.

as for his father, he was a man born to chronic disease that would take his life away just shortly after desoto coming into he and his wife’s world. he met her as a custodian/janitorial job at the studio she went to act and perform in, and after bad pickup lines and his general dorkiness.... time paid off and the pair hit it off.
he was entirely devoted to his partner and desoto, for the time they lived together. he knew he’d never get to see his son grow into an adult, so he created a bunch of cassette tapes for desoto to listen to time and time again to cope, as some guidance.
he loved his family and was the metaphorical backbone that kept them all pieced together and made them believe that it would be okay at the end of the day. he left the two most important people in his life all that he had, and fortunately had a peaceful passing during sleeping one night.

all in all, desoto grew up to be quite a lot like his father! it bothered his mother for years and they have more of a strained relationship because of this, but time once again played its part and she came through for her son, hooking him up with people and ultimately leading towards his career.
