Together the paladin and dragon observed the horizon. The sky an ever shifting collage of reds and oranges intermixed with the dark greys of the lingering clouds. Their minds were traveling even now, far beyond the snow capped mountains, past the miles of swamp, and still ever further. To the road ahead, filled with adventure, maybe some treasure, the thrill that would leave their hearts aflutter for minutes at a time. This is what life was. To truly be alive in these times. Who could rest and waste away in some cave or fortress when one had the sky to whisper sweet temptations?
