Every time I look at this pic I want to adjust the shading more, haha. I was going to upload this last weekend, too, but hey that's how things go, you know? This certainly would have been more apt for Fat Bunny week...but she'd probably not take kindly to being called fat.

A badger sat along with a raccoon within the break room, if anyone would call it that. It was a room, that much was certain - it had four walls, a ceiling, a floor, and a scientifically-proven door. It was more the break part that was considered an illegitimate trait by most staffers. That was because, at least for the last couple weeks, the medical offices of Much Love Corporation had gone through a case of turnover, and thus the remaining staff had to pick up the pace, at least until some new hires could arrive.
The badger and raccoon had somehow found the last couple minutes alone in the "Sit-and-Sigh Room," and the former began to drink down a pot of coffee. Apparently their need for caffeine took precedent over their peer's judgement. The badger's medical uniform had blotches of coffee stains and scuffs across the front, though his shirt was much more fresh. The raccoon looked particularly tired, eyes half-lidded, either in disdain or actively fighting a long stretch of sleep on the horizon. He would have certainly looked through his social media accounts, if he was convinced he would be able to read much text without additional coffee. At the moment, though, he had been running numbers in his head as he watched his partner down copious amounts of dark roast.
"How many twelve hour shifts have you taken this week, Miles?" the raccoon asked, leaning back in his chair. He had just finished downing his own cup of coffee and was about to make his move to the Mrs. Coffee sitting tentatively behind him.
"This is the fifth," gargled the badger through his liquid consciousness.
"...it is Thursday, Miles."
"OH! I didn't happen to know that, Victor. Thanks for being my damn calendar. How long have you been in the office this week, huh?"
"This isn't a game of who took the most shifts! And I'll let you know I haven't been in my apartment for a few days now. I've been sleeping in the makeshift Sleep Station down by the Fire Escape."
"Sorry, Victor, I didn't mean to snap. After Dr. Carrington and Dr. Delidia had their litters, and Dr. Wissou was transferred to Projects, things have been a little tight."
The raccoon finally stood up and walked to over to the beeping coffee-maker. "Don't forget the intern crew all had their leave time. They all fall for a couple of patients and, well..."
"At least a few of them will be back soon. Nyla sounded like she was already brewing some more cubs last I called her."
"Really? She's only been gone like a couple weeks!" The coffee left Victor's mug and went down his throat faster than it had gone into the mug moments earlier. Cooled Brew Mode from Mrs. Coffee was a godsend.
"Nah, she's been gone a month. And well, she wouldn't give me specifics, but you know how some of these company regiments are..."
"At least she'll be back soon enough...fingers crossed."
"Who's going to be back soon?"
Just as the Break Room almost felt like it had accomplished its primary task, the doorway swung open to reveal a tan, rounded furry ball, followed in kind by two tan orbs resting atop it and a rather tall bunny attached to the lot. A stethoscope snaked its way between the bunny's breasts, likely to keep it warm when it came to rest on its next patient's chest. The bunny was particularly perky, which appeared to add a new light source to the room, but that may have just been their eyes opening wider as Yasmin Burke emerged fully from the hallway and into the Sit-and-Sigh Room.
"Oh, Dr. Burke! Good Morning," Miles said softly as he placed his coffee-pot-mug on the table. "We were mentioning Dr. Delidia's current leave time. Dr. Maxima here was saying she would be here soon."
She giggled and shook her head. "Dr. Delidia will be back, yeah...hopefully she will be around for a bit longer than last time. I wonder if she's been taking more of those enhancers she was trying to hype us up on...oh and it is nearly evening, Dr. Johannes."
The badger went back to his coffee in earnest. He had a double shift this day...or night.
The bunny doctor turned to the now-sipping raccoon.
"How are you today, Victor? I don't think we've really even got a couple sentences in since we started the shift," she giggled, resting a hand on her heavy belly. It was a bit distracting for Dr. Maxima, who had noticed her lack of shirt since the moment she waddled into the room.
"Well, I am going to be taking a half shift tomorrow, so whatever happens today should be fine. Those cots you made over near the exit sure worked a charm, but it is no replacement for the bed back home. How about you? You seem just as chipper as you were a few hours ago. And, I think you...had more on, too."
The bunny looked down at her revealed chest for a second and shook her head while she moved steadily toward one of the room's cupboards.
"I had a feeling the kids were going to get a bit rowdy today, and the shirt was pretty darn tight before the shift started. I was working with a mice couple when the twins decided to start freeing themselves. Eh, I'll just wear a bigger size tomorrow. Otherwise, it has been one meeting then the next. I almost forgot to fill out paperwork for a couple of them. But hey, just another day on the job!"
She opened a cupboard, having turned to her side so as not to press up against her belly. Reaching in, she pulled out a cellphone and began to search her contacts.
"Dr. Burke, I appreciate your work here," the badger said, finally standing up with the other two, "but don't you think you're overworking yourself? We can always have more temps working these shifts, much as I hate to burn through them right now."
"Yeah, Yasmin...we nearly started the same time today, how do you do it?"
The bunny had only been somewhat listening, instead dialing the number she had on her phone and bringing it up to her face. It was apparent that she was calling a voicemal box, and she chirped up just as the beep began.
"Yazzy here. Hey, thinking about having a movie night on the couch and just pigging out on carrot cake," she let out a delighted sigh. "After the shift, of course. You in? Cause I'll start without you, Hun~" she made a little kiss sound to the phone, ended the call, and placed the phone back in its place before waddling toward the door. She stopped a second and turned to them with a soft meep. "Oh, sorry, I was occupied there a second. Um...how am I so chipper during the day? I guess I just try to keep positive, keep these little buggers in check and have something fun to look forward to after the day is done. A happy time at home makes a happy time at work!"
She lifted a long ear gently as she heard something through the doorway.
"Oh, better get a move on. You guys better get moving, too! I think we have a few people coming in quick!"
With that, the big bunny had made her way through the doorway and out of the room.
Victor looked at Miles, his half-lidded eyes lifted now fully open from the coffee shots he had taken.
"I need to know where she gets that carrot cake."

Yasmin is a cutie, right? Wanted some fun context for the world Dana is entering! X3 Thoughts and questions are welcome!
