A fanart I randomly and suddenly decided to draw yesterday. I wanted to save the vibe the characters had in the series, but at the same time tried to make them more realistic, like they would have looked in The lion king 1994 movie. And I got rid of their cutie-markings as I'm not fond of this concept in general x0
And I know Jasiri doesn't belong to the guard itself, but damn I wanted to draw a yeen so badly...

Yes! I mean it's a little silly how far they've traveled out of Africa at this point, but I don't care because the new characters are all so cute. Especially those red pandas <3
Also it's a decent enough explanation as to why Kion and his team aren't seen in LK2 anyway. So what I'm hoping will happen is Kion eventually returns back to the Pridelands, but it will be after the events of LK2, essentially that will give the writers a clean slate to write anything they want at that point. I definitely want to see grownup Kiara with Kovu (and maybe a cub?!) and Vitani as a Pridelander too <3
