I land once again as I have a thousand times before, in the torrential rain. The months of fighting have taken their toll, and until now, I was too tired to fight on. But the universe wants me to keep going, as it reminds me with its pouring lifeblood that I still breathe. I can feel the water washing away all the pain, and fatigue, dirt and blood, rejuvenating my body and spirit so that I might continue my work.
Let it pour down, bathe me in life, and clean my body mind and spirit. I will continue on, as good as new

Sometimes people have to vent. That is what it seemed like.
Can understand a lot of the frustration. I admit I envy your ability to draw, have kept trying, but lack any modicum of skill. And it seems people who also lack the skill try to...whats the phrase.... live through you, and they get pushy.

Obviously the red item is a tiny bottle of blood. These items he's strung on are all momentos of his one-on-one encounters, maybe because they stood out to him or because he wants to carry their strength into battle with him and use it. If I'm wrong I will give my right eye to add to his adornments.
you're dead on the money. The finger of a general that unleashed a nuclear war. the blood af a warlord that almost singlehanded raped an entire city of women and killed all their men and enslaved their children, the ring of an executive that gave an order that lead to a world dying from famine, and the tooth of an omnicidal alien that ate over a thousand people for the lulz
I like the symbolism you have for each of those. The finger that pressed the button, the blood of the one that drew so much blood, the ring representing wealth of a man that starves others to feed his greed, and the tooth is... well that's obvious. In other news, it's great to see you back in action. I always wanted to try to say something to help you out of your funk but I felt like it'd be a bit too forward.

strype (the character) has a curious habbit of looking up in his pics. except for the ones where he's in an obvious aggressive stance, he's looking skyward. or at least, not at the screen, like many of the girls tend to be. how much is a reflection on the artist and how much is coincidence is anyone's guess, but its interesting
Kinda genre-based more than anything. I've got a fetish for power armor, and a suit like this is exactly what I'd wear for my combat style (shock and awe ambusher). I happen to really dig ASM jump packs, so I've got a variant on there, as they're about the only kind of jetpack that looks like it could lift such heavy armor
.....I <3 you...Power Armor is amazingly awesome, I've always been in love with Space Marine power armor cause I find the shoulders epic, and the faces of the masks just give that whole "Im going to kick your ass and think nothing off it." expression.

this is absolutely incredible the story makes it have substance and makes it more than an awesome tiger in a huge war suit it makes it into a tired giant tiger in an awesome war suit becoming refreshed again and i think the rain is a perfect way to do that rain is too often thought of as misery i love the idea of it being rejuvenating i love how determined and just renewed he looks amazing work as always strype! keep up the good work
as i remember form the 2k9 charsheet. He likes it up close, personal and quite rough.

I admit, I find Strype the character fascinating. I always liked cybernetics. *smirks* hell, my own fursona is, though not quite to that level. And the fact he isn't really perfect or "ZOMG I iz a GOD" like powers. But definitely not someone to dick around with.

Dude, at some point I'm going to have to show what happens when enough people are shooting at him with big enough guns. He'll totally panic and run for cover as fast as his legs can take him. He's way more of an ambusher, and he'd rather take you down before you can really get people shooting at him

I've had an idea on how to make a DIY powered exoskeleton for a while. The biggest problem I'd really need to work out is actual mechanical design of joints to allow a full range of motion, and how to mount servos, but I believe I've got a cost-effective way to handle control.
Every time I see this pic, and many of your others, I get inspired to start work on it. But alas, I have no workshop.
I've had an idea on how to make a DIY powered exoskeleton for a while. The biggest problem I'd really need to work out is actual mechanical design of joints to allow a full range of motion, and how to mount servos, but I believe I've got a cost-effective way to handle control.
