Go back to your roots, do something boring.

It's at this point that I was told that I wouldn't have any tips or tricks coming my way; no critique as my friend was off visiting another country for a while. I wasn't sure what to do, so I went back and tried to draw something I'm used to doing: Inorganic, and my mouse.

This was also the first time I tried shading; granted it was without any suggestions or instructions; generally, no freaking clue what I wanted to draw.
