Well, what a way to start the new year, artistically. It took me forever to finish this picture but I actually did something I've been terrified of trying...
...That's right. Shading. DUN DUN DUNNA~
I know I have a long way to go, but I absolutely love what the shading does to my (normally flat) drawings. You can definitely expect more from me, even if it's just a little fold in a shirt or something. c:
This delightfully snobby gentleman is a friend's character. This was an art request, which is why I felt comfortable experimenting a bit. Still, both my friend and I are very happy with the results.

the cell shade look looks awesome! (this coming form someone who tries to cell shade then just uses the blue tool to hide her shame)
all I can say as far as a critique is that the leg looks a tiny bit short, I'm talking about the one parallel to the hand on his hip. but then again it could just be me <3
also I want to frame the fist and keep it. tiz perfect! *envies your superior fist abilities....thinks...relizes what was thought sounded funny....*
I cant wait to see more come from you, i miss your art!
and lastly I WILL USE WHAT EVER FORK I DAMN WELL PLEASE! >:[

Thanks! I used to use the blur tool, but it doesn't really work with my cartoony style. >:C
I can see what you mean about the leg- I was trying to make it sort of bent, like, that was where his weight was being placed. But I wasn't really able to shade the knee-area that well. >:l Poo. Ah well, I'll just have to practice.
