Practice makes perfect, no? This Ninja Wolf may not be a black belt yet, but he's focused, determined, and strong. Enjoy

The gi makes me think he's more of a karate or tae kwon do practicioner. Though it is a little more "formal" for most formal teaching today for white belts to wear full white uniforms and leave the black uniforms for instructors.
If you plan to make him go up further in the ranks, it may look better to keep his head in line with his waist cause it'll be a very easy target if you lean it ahead of it.
I'm not griping by any means. Your art style and technique is very good. What I just wrote above is just from my experience as well as my mate's experience in the martial arts. However since I have no exp. in Ninjitsu, my argument could be just n00b talk.
You've done a great job on the wolf's form and detail and I like it a lot :) I hope to see how he grows in the martial arts (even if there is a pic of him being on the receiving end of the teacher's lessons for the class)

thanks. for the record, this was drawn a few days after being shown what the pose looks like (in person), and i wasn't shown it explicitly. it was more like "this is the starting pose, and this is what you do after." and the one showing me was, at the time, a white belt anyway.
anyway, there's probably not going to be any more pictures of this wolf, or rather, not anymore of him in his outfit. thank you, though, for the input, and if i do decide to do another, i'll try to bear those points in mind.

Ah, I remember lectures like that...and of course the pain of not knowing how to take a fall properly XD. Ichimonji no kamae screams 'don't mess with this!', a lesson I've learned very well!
I saw the pic and laughed because I'm going to be a white-belt at the end of next week, and I thought it was pretty cool.

Thank you!
Togakure-ryu ninjutsu is actually the second art I've practiced. I did kendo for about a month, then quit because it felt more like a sport. But I've been doing ninjutsu/taijutsu for well over 3 months and have no intentions of abandoning all that I have learned, even if it is the most basic elements. When you get down to it, the art is much more than a means of self defense, it's a way of life!
