Not a vent, I promise :'D
I remembered this song when the chorus suddenly popped in my head, and I forgot how much I loved it; and then I thought of my characters. No surprise there. :'D But yeah. I had an interesting time figuring out EXACTLY what to use for it AU wise, and I had a few ideas, but I just settled on my normal Freakshow. 💙
I actually did do something similar as a vent last January(as in 2018), so I guess this is a nice follow-up?? :'D

Mica VERY often has nightmares, though the nightmares aren't what worries people. It's the occasional night TERROR that'll shake someone up if they aren't expecting it, and unfortunately it's something Boris more or less got used to as time went on. It got to the point where as soon as she flinched or tossed slightly in her sleep, he was up and just waiting. Of course, after fighting him and probably accidentally hitting him in the process of waking up, she'll eventually just calm enough to curl in his lap and turn into a sobbing mess, which he promptly cuddles her and lets her know it's alright. In first knowing eachother, this MAY have made her panic a bit more, but she soon realized that hey, this kid is pulling her out of that hell and that maybe he wasn't so bad.

She'd joke around and say 'thanks for saving me' the next day when they grew closer, but she eventually came to mean it literally, especially with her other... 'issues' that he would help with, usually by hugging her so tightly she couldn't move and stopping any bleeding that was there. She often made up for making him lose sleep by telling the others not to bother him so he could sleep in, or literally just staying in bed with him when she could so she was there when he woke up(which meant alot, honestly). But he was always pretty tired afterwards since, even when he's awake, the start of a night terror always makes him panic a bit.

As for visuals... I mean, he's more or less a 'guardian angel' for her, his own wings often covering her broken ones.
He saves her more often than not, and she's always confused, but incredibly grateful.
