Hello, dear Vilous fans~!
Today we're happy to bring you an artwork snippet off of Mick’s Patreon alongside a general description, which is open to everyone's interpretation
— Artwork aspect —
Here we have a Sergal, brought to their knees in what appears to be either, a sensation of terror, as if frightened of what the forest is showing them or they have encountered within, or awe and amazement at something newly discovered, or never before seen, or simply.. Exhaustion, tired after a long expedition or simply arriving at their limit and falling to their knees due to fatigue, all at the sight of what appears to be a grove entrance of some sort, within the Alien Biome we all know as the Talyxian Forests.
The location and lore is not determined for now. However, rest assured that we will be providing juicy lore in the future in collaboration with
Kiki-UMA! Stay tuned for more lore and canon updates in the future!

Recently, Mick has been focusing on providing more Patreon updates, not just the HD version of the manga.

On Kiki's side of things, we've got a very nice update to the most recent story posted about Bergt that we’d like to share them here!
1. Title of the Novel short story : "A Braveyard"
A word coined by Kiki, it is a portmanteau word formed from "Brave" and "Graveyard".
What it alludes to is that of Bergt and his fate which is the final scene in the story and what the artwork offers in terms of visual suggestion.
2. Meaning of the Imagoi Drinking scene
It is a traditional custom which shamans perform. It serves the function of an easy to perform magic ritual.
By serving Imagoi drink to a newcomer, and allowing them to drink it, they admit the newcomer in as their tribesman.
This act doesn't necessarily have any sort of formal ceremonial manner or preparation, at the same time, however, the lack thereof does not imply that it has no meaning behind it at all, either.
As we mentioned before, concept on the story is still early work, the details may be changed slightly or updated later towards completion.
Also, Kiki would like to share the original Japanese version of the novella on her Patreon entry. This intends for Japanese readers mainly, but, we hope that English speakers who are eager to learn Japanese may enjoy it as well!

And last but not least, Kiki’s Patreon, has had a small little update teased earlier today about Talyxian Dog sketches and a Wolf!!
It provides one Wolf sketch, and some variations about Dogs appearance, as well as an adorable scene which a Dog and their owner Sergal!

As we explained before, Vilous related contents on Kiki’s Patreon features the format of text mainly. However, entries which features artwork are present as well!

The Vilous universe is powered by its two creators, Mick and Kiki. Mick Ono, the original artist and visual designer for Vilous, and Kiki CR a.k.a. Kiki-UMA, the lore creator and world director.
Because this is a dual-creator world, there are two windows offered that fans can use to financially support the official Vilous universe. As such, we would like to take the time to explain how each Patreon functions and what they provide:
— Mick's Patreon Concept and Policy
Mick’s Patreon features mostly the artwork itself or any kind of visual information and/or medium which cover concept sketches, WIPs, design aspects, practices, real life insights, and so on.
As these artworks originated from her pure inspiration as a visual concept — drawn solely from her intuition — the detailed and finalized lore aspects of the artwork may still not be present at the time when an artwork has just been created and/or posted. The juicy and in-depth lore would always be provided in the future, in close collaboration with Kiki-UMA.
Patreon members will be able to gain early access to the pure visual imagination that Mick has, as well as enjoy Patreon-exclusive content such as HD versions of the manga, special artwork, and Mick's real-life journal found nowhere else!

Firmly decided-upon lore concepts will be shared as a public release! Meanwhile, $5+ Patreon members gain access to full and original size versions of the artwork, undecided lore, and other raw concepts to preview and get sneak peeks into the world of Vilous!
In addition to this, these Patron members will receive in-depth insight and background tips which are normally shared only among Vilous creators. As these tips or insights are not required to have a good understanding of the manga or create rich fan creations, it will certainly expand upon the universe. As such, these entries will remain an exclusive Patreon-only bonus. This will continue to feature extra backstory details and further explanations behind the public lore!
