Everyone knows the legend of the Pandora's Box. This is a box containing
all the diseases and once they were all released when Pandora opened it.
But the legend does not end there, otherwise where do new diseases
come from? The box continues to create new diseases, and greedy people
open it every time and the cycle repeats. So it was, until one person stopped it.
He was an avid treasure hunter and possessed great power, so he managed
to find a box. He opened the box and among hundreds of new diseases began
to search for "longevity disease." But by the time he found this, he realized that
all the other diseases had stuck to him and as soon as he returned to the cities
and villages, the diseases could spread to other people. Then he went far into
the snowy mountains, taking the box with him. There he asked the monks to
help him. They refused, because they could not be sure that the one who
also wants to take possession of the box would not appear among them.
Then the man asked to give him one of the puppies living with the monks.
He planted a “disease of longevity” on him and taught him to hide and hide.
When the puppy has grown, a person has already died from many diseases.
The monks hid the box in a small barrel and put it on his neck, after which they
all committed suicide so that no one would ever know this secret. From then
until today, a lonely dog wanders among the snowy mountains, not aging and
keeping the greatest treasure on his chest. But even through a closed box and
a barrel, through tiny slits, diseases crawl out into the world and roam with the dog.
Sometimes, he stumbles upon stupid travelers who decided to approach him,
and they are instantly attacked by illness. No matter how hard the dog tries,
diseases continue to appear. Only by leaving him alone can mankind finally
get rid of all diseases.
