Wanted to do a big drawing as it’s been a while and I put up a vote on the DragonScape Discord as to which of the Balār I should draw and the vote came to GoDomer, the Angel of Quebec.

What’s GoDomer’s Backstory?

GoDomer, like all the other balār came crashing down within the second of The Pulse that was enveloping the Americas. Most of the balār were upset for more obvious reasons but GoDomer had a more specific reason.

This new world was ugly…

Specifically the part of the world not getting enveloped by a draconifying pulse. With that it sought to destroy the Steiron once and for all and get rid of these abominations, turning the whole world into the DragonScape.

Several other Balār took issue with this, namely Rodurimer, The Mesas Spine, Veidrasil The Pine Hunter and Rylim the Rot Watcher. Namely the fact that they lost everything because of this thing getting damaged (the Steiron) and decided that “no you’re not doing that to anyone else.”

A battle raged in the Atlantic ocean behind the Pulsewall for several days before GoDomer was defeated, a powerful balār, but outnumbered. The 3 victors buried GoDomer in the ruins of Montreal by distorting the reality around the demigod into a stone that not even the powerful magic of Pulse Resonance could easily break. After this the balār went their separate ways.

GoDomer would slowly try to break free from this but, realizing that if she were to break free then the balār would once again bury her, so she waited.

The Cult of GoDomer’s Ascendants

In the Drekir Awakening, GoDomer hatched a plan upon seeing millions of confused Quebecois drekir.

“I may not be able to break out, but the balār surely wouldn’t notice an army destroying the Steiron!”

She began to care for these survivors and teach them her doctrines to form a cult capable of marching all the way to Brazil to do what she wanted to do in her stead. She cared for these survivors, ensuring their farms were rich and their villages throughout the Montreal ruins were safe and in return, they began to worship her as a god.

GoDomer taught these drekir the secrets of Mana, VerdaStal and Magics, making the Cultists of GoDomer’s Ascendants the most adept mages and tealsmiths outside of sivilāo society. A feat that is unseen anywhere else in the DragonScape, where mostly mana and magic are seen with superstition and little applicable knowledge. As such the Ascendants have begun to doze down the old “abominable” cities of prepulse humanity to build glistening utopias of manastone, spellglass, and temples of worship to the Angel of Quebec.

From there she taught them that she was The True God of this coil, she told them that to be draconic is to be an ascendant closer to the Angelic Form of herself. She taught them to prepare for the holiest of crusades to bring the hole world into the safe grasps of the heavens above. Over time this cult would become fanatical and would begin lashing out against both the neighbors to the south and the west (the New England survivor groups and the sivilāo of Kor Avil. This brought in both converts and new enemies.

And then the United Kingdom set up colonies

The United Kingdom simply didn’t expect one of the largest cults in the DragonScape to be just north of their borders. GoDomer and her cult deemed the humans as “unascendents and abominations, but not uncurable.”

Cultists are known for attacking human colonies, drekifying people and kidnapping them into slavery back in Montreal as a manner of repayment for the ascension.

These folks are not nice, though can tolerate other dragons as long as other dragons aren’t violent.

Possibly one of the most out and out evil groups in the DragonScape, and also one of the most fantastical drekir societies of the post pulse era, which is generally a lot more post apocalyptic.
