A game of chance.
My brother-in-law commissioned me to create three playing cards, one with a noose, one with a flintlock pistol, and one with a stiletto dagger. The detail on the front was drawn much bigger than the finished card, on a eight by ten sketchbook page. The general motif is something I cooked up by just looking at playing cards. The print shop had a laminated 120-pound card stock that felt a great deal like a playing card, though a little easier to crease. For the back I just scanned the back of a Bicycle playing card, a design I've always liked.
He wanted twelve copies of each, I cut the cards out with a matte knife and did the beveled edges with the same knife, which due to my very steady hand was a surprisingly quick job. They came out so well that I may be able to make playable customized playing cards.

All joking aside, that's pretty cool. With your talent, you could have easily whipped something up and mirrored it in PS or whatever. You could very easily make a very desirable set of cards based on your demonic themed anthro characters. It would be buttload of work, but hey, I'd buy it, even if it wasn't "porny".
Although, I know you are a realist and a pragmatist, and you know you would sell a hyper porn set 30:1 over the clean ones. *guilty as charged, sadly. I am a slave to my two brain cells.*

That design would make some pretty sweet playing cards-- replacing the traditional with thse stylish ones (heart = noose? :o)
Not sure what the work would involve to do a full 52 card set.
Then again, just getting a few custom playing cards in this style would be sweet :D I'd probably go with more dinosaury-iconagraphy though, thats just me

Wow, I can't believe I missed these. I only noticed now because of the new upload in your scraps...which is a great reason to have a noose!
Really though, I can't believe no one asked yet, so if it's okay to: what did your brother-in-law want the cards for? People made Risk jokes but these seriously look good, especially in the photo you linked too. They would be perfect for Risk-or even a a standalone card game (I played a Wild West themed card game at a con once, this kind of reminds me of something like that).
Anyways, this is definitely something I never thought of you doing, so I'm impressed they turned out so well. Congrats, I hope he was happy with them and they worked out for whatever he needed them for.
I'm glad I watched you, it's neat to see what you can do. Plus I'm learned something new-to be honest I never heard of a "blue" steak before, but I don't eat out much (and I've never sent anything back). Thanks a lot for sharing your work! I hope you don't let life get you down too much. Good luck with everything! ^^
