I think I got inspired to draw after listening to Front Line Assembly's Mindphaser again after ... like a year. I'm glad

Deltaaaaa. I missed the poor thing and its amputastic glory (none of the original limbs are left - they are all mechanical, but the torso still keeps the skeletal structure and the spinal cord). I'm also planning to reworking on my Nanoverse plot. Ffff. Goddamn.
Long story short, Delta is an artificially created humanoid but her creator up and died before he could finish the job so she's been falling apart all her life. SO YEAH. Lovely. Hasn't stopped her from living a proper life, though!
The lower left doodle is my favourite. :> Maybe it's the expression.
Dr. Silvestris is the cat-headed guy. He's a surgeon and he works for Delta. GOTTA LOVE TREATING CYBORGS.
One day I'll also draw proper Desty Nova fanart, I swears. ;____; Though for some reason it doesn't seem very OOC for him to do that, lol (what kind of mad scientist wouldn't want an assistant or a partner?) I don't think this is the first time I've drawn them together, hrm... I'll need to look through my old art again! D8

My personal fav is probably the upper left one.. the lighting is very cool in that one. But The lower left is awesome too, he looks like he's just escaped out of Blade Runner, hehe...

Desty Nova?.... hello, blue oyster cult reference. i heard about that comic/anime thing, never found a chance to look it up.
Also, hello mid-eighties/early nineties cyberpunk! Nothing says classic cyberpunk like those pince nez style eyes and crazy fucking hair.

But yeah, I warmly recommend to read Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita, it's one of my all time favourite comics. :>
There's also a two-episode OVA, a sequel series named Last Order and some spinoffs. Aaaand there's going to be a film adaptation by James Cameron, I wonder how well that will go.

XD When I created Delta, I had a HUGE fixation on fluffy high volume 80's hair (The Cure, Bauhaus and Siouxsie and the Banshees get part of the blame), and I didn't want to remove that aspect when I reworked the design since... Well, it's a very distinct part of the character. Plus, mad scientist aura plz.
DURR Delta isn't very nice to draw in MS Paint - some characters work better in other media. XD
