Of course she would say yes. No worries at all.

When Nicholas was talking, Saya wasn’t sure where he was going. She loved what her guy was saying. But when he got on his knee and proposed to her, so many emotions came to the female; Happiness, excitement, nervousness, and worry. Saya didn’t know what to do or say but she did blush hard. “I…” Saya began and then paused. Nicholas waited. “I… Oh honey, I’m not sure…”
That wasn’t quiet the answer the fosky had expected and could tell something wasn’t right. “Talk to me love,” he encouraged, squeezing her hands. “What’s on your mind?”
“It’s just… Nicholas, I can’t help but worry about the future… What if something happens like with my parents?”
“You shy, silly, adorable, little bat,” the long-haired male replied, smiling at her. “I’m not like him at all. I will always love you, care for you, and make you happy. No matter what you say or do. I can’t be without you; you’re my whole world Saya… Just think back, back to what I’ve done for you to win your heart and tell me if there’s anything to worry.”
She did and then realized the truth of his words. Saya actually let out a small laugh, covering her face with her hands after getting them out of his paws as she realized it was an old habit to worry and with Nicholas changing like that. The fosky would never and the bat saw in her mind only examples of his love for her, how deeply he did. The female then lowered her hands to look at him. “You’re right, I am being silly…” Saya then threw her arms around him. “Yes! Yes, I’ll marry you!”
Nicholas held her and kissed the female on the cheek before sliding the ring onto her left ring finger. Saya and him kissed and then with his arms around her, they looked at the item reflect in the night sky as she held it up. “It’s so beautiful…” the bat whispered.
“Maybe, but you are more beautiful than anything,” he said softly. Saya giggled and they kissed again.
Upon getting to their home, she tackled him and they went to the bedroom. There they made love with a heated passion a few times in celebration and love. Now the hard part of arranging the wedding was here. Luckily there was a lot of help from others for them. The first to learn of the news was Elaine, and the fosky’s parents. By this point Saya had met them already and interacted with them a number of times. Nicholas’s father was a husky, his mother a vixen whom he looked so much like. For the dad, he thought Saya was a delight. For the mom, she thought the bat was a nice, sweet girl and perfect for Nicholas. But all three reacted pretty much the same way when hearing the news. Elaine cried tears of joy that Saya was marrying Nicholas, his mother to, while his father, although he didn’t cry, felt the same happiness as the females did.
They weren’t the only ones as Saya’s friends were told and they to were very happy for the bat. Izzy, who had been with the female in that place, was considered the closest and therefore going to be the maid of honor while the rest of the friends would be bride’s maids. And then there were the workers and boss at the office who were very happy for Nicholas and Saya to. They met up with Mr. Lance to help discuss where this would take place. “I really want to make sure this day is for you and especially her,” he said. “I want to help in any way I can.”
“Thank you, that means a lot to us,” the fosky replied. Saya just smiled.
“So, what can I and the others here help with?”
“Well sir, the dress my friends and mother are doing,” the bat replied. “Me and Nicholas here have selected the honeymoon location, where this will take place, and other things. But… we need a place for the reception.”
“So we were wondering if one of the hotel’s rooms here next door to where we work could be used for that,” Nicholas said.
Mr. Lance nodded. “That wouldn’t be any problem,” he said. “We’ll make sure the best one is ready for the day of. I assume you know what you want it to look like in terms of color and flowers.”
“We do sir,” the fosky answered. “But there was one more thing that Saya wanted to ask you. And it’s a little personal.”
“Personal?”
The female bat took a breath and looked to her boss. “Since I’ve started working here, you’ve been so kind to me, Mr. Lance,” Saya said. “I can’t thank you enough for giving me a job and allowing we to work at the same one as Nicholas does. For taking us places around the world I’ve never been to and doing things I’ve never have before. So in a way… you’ve been more than my boss, you’ve been like a father to me, more than he ever could.” There was a pause. “Which is why… on that day, I would love it if you could walk me down the aisle?”
The second male blinked back the tears and whipped his eyes. “Saya my dear, I would love nothing more than that,” he then replied. “I feel honored you consider me that. I’ve had daughters of my own who are grown up so I will do this for both of you.”
Saya was the one who now had tears in her eyes and whipped them away. “Thank you… so much,” she whispered. The time for preparing for this passed by fast. There was so much to do and the family, friends, and co-workers, plus Mr. Lance were there to help Nicholas and Saya. They were even given bonus cheeks to help pay for some of this stuff. The fosky and bat couldn’t be any happier with how things were going, the choices made, and how soon they would be married. They did end up sleeping at different places during the last week and a half before the big day. And they were ready for it and for whatever was to come.
