For those who don't know Neopets lore the Darigan Citadel was once a beautiful peaceful utopia that never new war, where all it's citizens lived in harmony due to a magical orb. However a kingdom below known as Meridell was suffering from a horrible plague, their king Skarl ordered his knights to sack the Citadel. With no army they lost, and the curse once set upon their land returned. Despite reclaiming the orb the curse never went away, leaving all with Darigan blood disfigured.
