HAHA! I just LOVE how that family's just like, "o.O" when the picture was taken. I don't usually like fursuits, but this is an exception to the rule. ^_^

I know what you mean, I've got plenty of pictures like that of people staring at me while others tooks pictures of my suits.
I love to have pictures of that peculiar moment, when people see that something is not normal and are wondering if they are the only one to see that. It's fun too when they have just walk besides you without seing you, then stop a little further (the time that their brain proceed the information that something was wrong), and then try to check more or less discretly behing them to confirm that they are not crazy.
People are not used to mascots or fursuits in the old world, so it's always a lot of fun to do that here.

You know some people can be easily shocked.
And even some furries don't love fursuits.
As I said in another comment, it's old world here, and some people aren't not used to mascots outside theme parcs. So it can be more an annoyance for them, because they could think you're here to do bad or crazy things.
It's why it's really important to have good helpers during fursuit outings to avoid problems and to help to clear up misunderstanding with the public around.

Is it a mascot uniform? Never the less it's still great. I envy everyone with fursuits >_< And even if I had one I'd have no one to help me if I used it in public. No one likes furries where I live o.o" Atleast no one I know.

No, it's a fursuit that I've done myself, but I wanted to say that as mascots are kind of unusual in old europe, you could think that people could react badly to see some fursuits in the street, as it could be pretty different from the kind of mascots you would find in theme parcs.
If you're from Norway, I know there're some furs around there, and they probably do some fursuits outing sometimes too. You don't even need a furry to help you if you want to go out in fursuit, one or two friends can do it too, the only thing is to learn them the work of fursuit helpers, so that they can manage questions from the public around you, and watch over you, help you with stairs and things like that.

Ya, I don't have any friends ^^" And I have tried to locate other furries near me but I don't live anywhere near the capital city (Three and a half hour drive away actually) But the good thing with it is that I won't meet extreme haters here in this small city either. And I don't really have any friends, only one, but I don't trust him that much.

Is there any anime or comics convention near your area ? I've started to do fursuits after gaining some experience in cosplay first. Try to find cosplayers near you, and maybe they will be able to help you to learn to make a fursuit and maybe you will be able to make some fursuits outing in anime conventions too. We do that sometimes here, and at least those area are a little more secure than if you just get out in suit alone in the streets.

That's a very good idea really, though I'd never have enough money to buy a fursuit and not the skills to make one *sigh* But cosplaying seems kinda interesting, I might just look up on that.

You can learn a lot in sewing by trying cosplay first, and to experiment some technics that you will be able to use after that to do your own fursuits.
Did you ever try to do a fursuit ? So how can you tell you don't have the skill for it ? ;p
You need only a few things to do at least a partial fursuit. Some piece of foam, some fur, and some glue and few free time to experiment with all those things ^_^

Well, I've sown some in my life, but I don't have the fingers to do it... The only things my fingers can do quick and effective is type to the QWERTY system of the keyboard, also I'm a perfectionist so I hardly get anything done >_< But what I do get done tends to turn out really well.

this reminds me of that fursuit walk you did on sunday right after Eurofurence 11. I followed you guys in a distance and answered some of the people's questions. :) although I told a lady we were comic, anime and cartoon fans gathering and creating our fave characters in costumes.

I think I can remember something like that.
That was something I loved about the city of Nuremberg.
To be in the middle of the city in such nice area, and with lots of tourist and families like that one, was great for fursuits outing and interactions.
Fursuits outings in suhl were good too, but more complicated to organize because a car was necessary to go in the center of the town.
