Largely, she did the foreground and I did the background. We didn't stick to that, exactly (I helped make Shü's pants and some little parts of Zal, and she helped me touch up the clouds more than once), but for the most part the gorgeous chars are entirely her doing ;)
I'd never really done a collaboration before and this was SO much fun. We've been working on the file on and off for ... two or three months now? But it's just fun to have something there to work on when all else fails.
Thank you so much for doing this with me! It was a total blast!

The background is absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for linking us to a full-size version, it looks even better in that. I like being able to see the brushstrokes in the clouds. Your friend did an AMAZING job on the characters, too! I love that while the one is white, you can still see colors reflected from the background on him.
Thank you so much for the kind comment :) I'm really glad you checked out the full size version! We actually changed the clouds at the LAST minute - before I'd sort of fluffed the brushstrokes out of them but at the last minute we agreed that the composition still wasn't quite right and that's where a lot of the more obvious brushwork came in.
And I agree, Rhynn's work on the characters is just stunning. All the little details on Shü's shirt and Zal's face.... she amazes me. It was a real treat getting to work with her :)
