I hoped someone gave her a helping hand with her poor child as well. To be honest I hope they're helping as many of the injured as possible who were involved in the tragedy.

I'd like to think the photographer stopped to help her once he got through exploiting her misery to further his own career. :p

Poor Haiti. And things were looking positive after so such turbulance over the past few years, but it seems Mother Nature decided that Haiti should remain the Americas' butt monkey. Really sad.

It's touching when an original image can move a person so much that they feel compelled to respond in any way they can - including the need to render the wish that aid will come, comfort and save a life.

I hope so too.

I'm certain the photographer 'paid' for his photos by staying with the poor woman and her child for a while and helping them where he could. His photograph has helped to hit home the disaster, and its effects, raising awareness to people around the world, not just in the vicinity. And people around the world are responding.
