So here we go where not only do you learn more about some things, but also a great moment between me and Shine. Besides the music that was put in here which ties in nicely, I also had the thought if this was an anime this is where a new opening would be.

Loft Ridge

Nicholas and Shine made their way to where the flying vehicles were as this would be the best way to reach where they had to go. All they would need would be their weapons and a few things from their home packed away after she changed into some different clothes than her tournament ones. The fosky and vixen didn’t take long with packing and were soon standing in front of these. The long-haired male was just quiet, making sure things were ready to go while his girl just let him do his thing. “Okay, we’ll take this one,” the male said.
The female nodded and got on with him. Nicholas was soon flying them out. This time, they went slightly down and in a different direction then going to the water city. “Where is this?” the vixen then asked.
“A place where those who wish to be closer to the source of wind,” the male answered. “Some from Loft Ereborn live there but the rest are those who have lived there their whole lives. Like my home, it’s protected and can’t be found; without taking off from Loft Ereborn in those vehicles others can’t see this and pass through it. We can even trace their accessory as far back as those who lived and first discovered that point. It was from this place that Loft Ereborn was raised up as a landmass and populated. And this village, or rather city among the mountains and sky we’re going is one where all young ones go at one point or another as part of a rite of passage.”
“What is that?”
“Where every young one must first after learning how to manifest their wings, must fly on these to this place called Loft Ridge during their teens. The ones living there test them by measuring their strength, courage, wisdom, and spirit. Although each one is different for each individual as no two people are alike, once the rite of passage is complete, that young one is considered a true member of Loft Ereborn, even if not 18. It’s rare that one must take it twice as most pass the first time.”
“What about me?” Shine then asked.
“You are different. You weren’t born here but what you have gone through so far is far more challenging than the test the ones living at Loft Ridge give. In all our eyes, you are more than worthy to be considered a member of Loft Ereborn, even if your power isn’t wind but that of light.”
The vixen who was sitting next to him as they flew blinked back tears and kissed her guy on the cheek. “Ohhhh darling…” Shine whispered.
“It’s true love,” Nicholas replied with a grin. “You have grown so much and I’m very proud of you. But even so you, like with me, can still grow and become even stronger.” The vixen and him smiled with love at the other. “It’s like that for every other place with their own rite of passage. Perhaps when it comes to the place for light you will learn and do that to.”
“Well can you tell me what your test was like?”
“Because I am meant to rule, it was a little different due to that. I also had to be tested with understanding others. More than the average person for how could I rule Loft Ereborn if I don’t understand the ones who live there? Also I had to show I was strong enough, wise enough, and brave enough to rule. And have a strong spirit to lead right. But I have proven that I have what it takes. Especially if I have you by my side babe to help me…”
Once again Shine was hit with that vision. Not only being a queen and ruling by Nicholas’s side, but also married to him. But the vixen was distracted when looking out the window she saw something in the distance. There were clouds surrounding structures that were on the mountain range ahead. “Is that…?” she asked.
“Indeed. It’s Loft Ridge.”

As the vehicle got closer Shine could see that this whole place was made up of temple grounds to form the city. Very similar to what was seen in China and Japan, the buildings were a mix of dull red, gold, green, and white in color. The vixen saw trees and other plants grew in places here from the courtyards and edges. There were some modern looking buildings, facilities, and services, but most of the structures were very ancient. Shine also saw cloths attached to strings between some of the building in similar colors. Nicholas then landed the vehicle and he and his girlfriend got off it with their stuff. No sooner had they when a male lemur in monk robes of blue ran up to them. “Hm?” the fosky asked, noticing him.
“We saw you coming and I was sent to get you,” the primate replied.
“Very well,” the long-haired male replied. “Lead on.”
“Where are we going?” Shine asked.
“I imagine to the elders here.”
The lemur led the way through the streets and other courtyards until they reached the biggest and most important looking building. While still a temple and shrine like building, this was at the highest point of the whole area to show its importance. Inside this was a single large room. There were statues, paintings, and other treasures in here. At the end were five elderly species. The two who sat in the middle were the oldest and a pair of cranes, a male and a female. The other three were different, with one being a male turtle, the second being a male Maine Coon feline, and the last being a female coyote. Despite this, the two avians and others wore monk robes of gold. But the cranes had on beads of the colors that were on the buildings that went around their necks. It was the female avian who spoke after they all looked up to see the two enter. “…So you finally return here,” she said and then smiled. “It has been quite some time… Nicholas.”
The fosky and vixen went up to them and he bowed with his paws together in respect to the elders. “It has been,” he replied with a smile. “Even so I’m glad to see nothing has changed.” The guy then turned to introduce his girlfriend. “Shine, I’d like you to meet Master Bryony…” He held out a paw towards the female Coyote. “Master Saxtus…” The palm was directed towards the male feline. “Master Arven…” The palm was directed towards the male turtle. “And finally Abbot Kaneil and Abbess Saki who are the who are the ruling heads of this place.”
“Welcome young Shine,” Kaneil said. Like the female crane, his voice carried wisdom and the vixen felt calm. “Welcome to Loft Ridge. It’s an honor to have you here if you’re with Nicholas.”
She blushed a little and smiled, pleased by the words because she was reminded how she was dating such an amazing male. “Thank you,” the female replied.
She and Nicholas sat down in front of the five. “Wait… that staff she has…” Saxtus said, spotting it on her back.
“It’s a long story,” the fosky said. “And it relates to why we’re here…” With that, he told the elders everything from getting the scar on his chin, meeting Shine, how they fell in love, bringing her to Loft Ereborn, the training, becoming a couple, and everything else that had happened but the love making. The vixen would sometimes speak as well with her training, winning the tournament before they talked about that clan attacking and the High Command member appearing. They even talked about how they were related to their past selves. The elders listened the whole time.
By the time they were finished, it was becoming dark. “That is definitely not good news,” Arven said. “It seems you two have been through a lot, Shine even more so. Yet, I can sense how strong you’ve gotten and can see you will even more.” The vixen smiled again.
“But why come here?” asked Bryony (Music ends).
Just then everyone felt the same surge of power and essence of wind that Nicholas and Shine had before. This was followed by the cry they had also heard. Only this time being closer, they felt the area shake slightly and the sound was louder. Nicholas ran to one of the big windows here and flung it open. “It can’t be…” he whispered.

Shine joined him. In the distance she saw a floating section of land next to the tallest point on the mountain range here. She saw what appeared to be a massive palace and temple like structure combined into one. The female could see what appeared to be symbols for wind on it. This looked to be just as ancient as this place. And then they saw it; an image of something flicker that was massive. A long serpentine like body with wings and a head that could only belong to one creature; a dragon. The thing let out another roar before this faded away. The elders had gotten up by this point and also had seen it. “What…?” Shine asked.

“It’s as I feared… why the Yuga Clan attacked,” the long-haired male stated. “To get at the Great Being who lives at the point where the element of wind is the strongest… Farosh…”
In that moment in Shine’s mind she remember something from her past as Ish. Of coming face to face with a large dragon’s head but then it left her mind. “I… remember…” she whispered. “A little... I remember I met him when I was Ish in the past…”
“I do as well when her husband lived,” the fosky said. He turned to look at her and the elders here.
“We thought something was wrong but this…” Kaneil commented.
“The Yuga Clan attacked Loft Ereborn so someone could attack Farosh,” Nicholas stated. “Why, I don’t know but maybe because of what they hope to achieve…” He then looked to Shine who was confused. “Do you remember when I explained to you about the eight points that are the most concentrated with each element?” The vixen nodded. “Well, there was one thing I left out. And that was of Farosh and the other seven Great Beings. When those points first emerged with each one came an individual granted with the purest power of each element. Farosh is the one that came for wind. A dragon that’s lived since ancient times, he’s been revered as the first wielder of wind. Back when he first showed up, he was worshiped as a deity. And that building you see was built for him in his honor where he resides at. Now in the modern time we respect him. It’s like that for the other seven. But there’s more to it.”
“Back when our past selves met and then fought against that evil who came to her land, these eight beings helped. For it turned out it was far greater than what those two could handle. I to remember meeting Farosh as my past self. And fighting with him and the seven others. In the present day as part of my test here I visited him. But if he’s like this now… I can only imagine someone in the Yuga Clan has attacked. Only they could do something like this. And my guess is to make it so he can’t help us when it comes to stopping whatever it is they have planned.”
There was silence at this. Kaneil then spoke. “It’s troubling. But it seems you two must head up there to help Farosh.”
“If we don’t, it could lead to something worse.” Shine nodded as she understood.
“Tonight you two will rest and then tomorrow head out there to where Farosh is. Please… free him…”

The fosky and vixen were taken to a room to spend the night. The bed would be big enough for them and there was a sense of peace and calm in here despite what had been talked about. But the vixen was quiet and looked uncertain. Nicholas must have sensed it because he turned to look at her once they were alone. “Honey are you okay?” the male asked.
“I…” she began and sighed.
“Shine honey, I know when something is bothering you. Please… tell me what’s wrong.”
The vixen knew she couldn’t keep this in. “I’m afraid…” she whispered. “I’m worried about what is going to happen. To us and you…” The female sat on the bed. “Even though more good has happened, what’s happened as of late… I wished I hadn’t gone to that temple in South America. I wished that none of this evil stuff had happened…”
Nicholas joined her and wrapped his right arm around her. “I remember Ish saying that to Katar, my past self,” he said. “As a wise person also once said, so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide.” She looked to him. “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are many other forces at work. You must see that after running into the spirit of Ish with me. Even before that I believe there were. And many more besides the will of evil. Ish was meant to pass her staff on to you. Which in case means you were meant to take it and fight against this with me. You were meant to wield light. And you and I were meant to fall in love and be together…”
The guy took her paws with his. “My darling, from the moment I realized I loved you, I knew I couldn’t be without you. I swore to protect you no matter what even if you’ve gotten so strong. Even if I have to go through hell and back; hell even fight all of the Yuga Clan and the High Command. All seven of them and their leader. Because you are my world. And I will always love you…”
The vixen then smiled. “Did you get those words from the elders baby?” she asked with amusement.
“Some of their teachings have rubbed off me. Some I got from others. And the rest I came up with on my own. The point is I won’t die. I don’t plan on it. I may have said this already or not. But once this is over I have plans for the both of us…”
“And what would they be darling?” the vixen cooed, feeling better by her boyfriend’s words and love.
“Sorry dear but I’m not saying yet.” He rubbed their noses and Shine giggled with both of his paws going around her and his going onto his body. “But I can promise you this; the plan will make you the happiest vixen in the world…”
She kissed him then and they had a loving one. Pulling back, the fosky held her and she snuggled into his muscled chest. “You always make me feel so better darling…” she said softly. “Thank you so much… I feel ready for whatever the future throws at us. I won’t die either. I want to see what your plan is and I can’t let this evil take over and destroy the ones I love and my friends…”
“Well-spoken Shine…”
They looked at each other and kissed again. “I love you…” the vixen whispered.
“And I love you…” They kissed again and settled into bed. They would need their rest for tomorrow would be quiet the time to say the least.
