Working on a ranch requires a lot of time and effort, sometimes taking you away from main house. Thankfully barkboxes allow everyone to keep in touch, even when the news may mean trouble.

Nothing quite that horrifying. The entire Sandstorm clan of chestnut-shouldered griffins just arrived. To see one in the Barrenlands isn't too unusual - most of them are rangers. But to see all of them in one place is unheard of for a little livestock ranch... and all poor Ripples can think of is, "How am I going to feed all these griffins?!"
right, Rangers can aquire and recources they need and its expected of herders to feed them.
I hope he gets compensated.
they could have at least send a messager before hand "hey, just to ley you know, in a few days a whole clan of Griffins is gonna show up".
the furries may be already there and have infiltrated the herder clans. who knows?

Sandstormers are not that unusual for griffins, save for the fact they are very social with one another. Rangers don't ask to sit down for tea, they just show up and expect to be treated like proper griffins. And Ripples (and his partner Coaad-eet) are the ones that are going to get stuck with the job of feeding them.
Fortunately, griffin table manners can be summed up with the "Three Gs." Grab, Gulp, Gone. They don't demand three star cooking, just meat and lots of it. ^.^
