Meet Alejandro (Alex) Ramirez. He's a young boxer, seeking to be top of the world in the lightweight class.

A first generation Latino American, his parents immigrated to the United States from Panajachel, Guatemala, and moved to San Diego, California before they settled down and had children. His parents instilled in him just how lucky he and his siblings were to be born in the States, and he took full advantage of the opportunities given to him, working hard to achieve success.

His passion for boxing comes from exposure at a young age to boxing media, from fight tapes and magazines to anime and cartoons. An above average student and talented athlete, he now fights professionally. A boxer-puncher, he's light on his feet but packs a serious jab, leading to his ring name "El Rayo"- The Thunderbolt.

For now he's fighting at the national level, cheered on by his fans and friends. He might look serious now, but he's actually a bit of a softie and cares deeply for those around him. A bit of a closet nerd, he also enjoys video games and anime. He may get his chance to work his way up to the world stage, and he's constantly training and honing his skills in preparation for the achievement of his lifelong ambition.
