Common black lemurs are one of the most noticeable and sexually dichromatic lemurs!
Sexual dichromatism is the condition where the two sexes of the same species
exhibit diverse characteristics beyond their sexual organs.
In this case ALL, except Eulemur fulvus, Euelmur (or True lemur) species share differences in pelage,
Male common black lemurs are pure black, while the females are an array of browns and oranges.
The differences are also very noticeable in blue-eyed black lemurs (Eulemur flavifrons)
