I remember photographing you and Max there one year in suit. That was when the weird guy came out from behind one of the corns and asked if you two were those "wierd sex people". He looked scary too.

Oddly enough, that's sort of true. The field was used for many years by OSU to test corn hybrids. Eventually the area became built-up, and the city wanted it for a park. The corn statues are in commemoration of that.
