My 2010 version of Puss in Boots. Looked at a lot of renaissance black and white/woodcut images and paintings for inspiration. This was done in ink 0.5 on 11x14 bristol board. So yeah, A LOT of very fine detail.

Amazing textural escapade. The drapes, small table, fish armrest, and the tufts on puss, his tail, his boots are all so well done. Fine use of hatching and cross-hatching.
Puss' right paw looks a little clubbed though, and not just because it is balled up. But I realize you might not think so yourself so it could just be how I see it. Also, the other flowers need a bit darker inner details like the two furthest left. Even with the light, the inner areas would be much heavier in shade.
The little details catch the eye and move it along the composition. Puss' expression seems to say, "Ah, my hapless master is comfortable now. I can relax in the spoils for a bit."
You are a precise artist. I am impressed.
