This (these) were done anywhere from recently to ten years ago, so, if some of them seem of crappy quality, you can make your own guesses there as to why. But I wanted to get something I hadn't uploaded anywhere before up, so, here they are.
To clear confusion, this is a mass comment to represent the several pictures I'm uploading all at once
**This one's a bit outdated and I need to get a better photo of it up, but, this was done after the first Garfield movie, which was complete crap. So was the second one. Frankly, so is the comic as it has been for the past fifteen years. Tuantingly, Jim has done some comics in the past that showed of the prowess he really has, never to use it again. This is more a criticism of the character than Jim himself. He's won some points with me in the past few years by publicly stating that he loves the re-edited Garfield comics that take Garfield's word bubbles out, leaving Jon to talk to himself. It becomes a very different, dark thing in this fashion, and makes it a thousand times better.

Oh, and the art is original on this one. Surely, I did look at the comic, but I went for higher detail in the fence and Garfield in the last panel is in a mostly original pose. It's a fine line sometimes, trying to stay true to the original material while not copying it directly.
I understand how you feel. I used to be a fan of "Garfield" due to the funny newspaper comics from 1978 up to about around the late 1980s or erly 1990s. I also liked the entertaining animated TV specials from CBS and the "Nine Lives" graphic novel. The newspaper comic since then seems to languish around without anything fresh to laugh at, with Jon often made to sit around and be kooky much of the time.
Well, if you're looking for more funny Garfield, do a search for the comics with Garfield's dialog removed (It's a bit of a fan project/meme). It puts a very different spin on the idea, making Jon seem like delusional and depressed individual. In other words, like he really is. Surprisingly, even Jim Davis has agreed that they're better that way, reportedly
