It would certainly mess up the succession issue, and probably institute a war with Jinjur's Clan. But if she made a move toward the Duchess or Kathy, Fred would signal Koz to drop her in her tracks. As Ambassador Bleeknys is present--along with the ambassadors from Ngorongoro and Amboseli--it wouldn't be hard to claim self defense, and that Jinjur had gone mad and "needed killin'."
Jinjur is actually defying custom and courtesy by what she's doing. In Crocutan society, a subordinate does not challenge her clan leader, which is what she is doing by insulting Songween and disrupting her banquet.

This is a situation where whoever knocks off the others would be out of power. Songween could have Jinjur killed, but then Jinjur's clan would attack, with Vyschuss's clan as back up. Jinjur could kill Songween, but then she would be prime suspect, Same thing goes for Vyschuss.
She really needs to learn how to read the room.
