I know...not a lot of time passed between Drake's victory and the next battle. But I was eager to get this done. This is a match that could very likely go either way..as many like Pokémon AND Digimon. Who will win! And which species will be victorious!

Match 7: Dex vs Scaly (First half!)


Scav looked up at the shrinking roster of the tournament...Six participants have already made it into the quarterfinals and only two more slots remained. It was almost over...And he took a breath as the roar of the crowd filled his ears. "Two more battles! Four spectacular challengers remaining! Who's going to win these next couple of matches? We're soon to find out!" He snapped his once...blinking when nothing happened.

"Uh...one moment everyone...My power seems to be on the fritz at the moment..." He snapped his fingers once or twice and then snapped a third time and a portal appeared above him with several sports balls falling right over him, getting a laugh from the crowd...He shook himself out from underneath the balls and tossed them into the crowd. "Souvineers people, Souvineers! yeah...lets pretend I meant to do that...ahem!"

The spacial dragon snapped his fingers again and two doors of varying sizes appeared. "Alright now to introduce our competitors! On my left side...We have...Dex!" He called out, watching as the door slid open. A large, slender figure began to pad his way out of the caverns of wherever he had been waiting from...his purple fur of varying colors seemed to almost blend in with the night that fell around the stadium. His steel mask had a blue gem between his eyes with red eyes poking out from the holes on the side. He had an odd cage like design for his arm and leg guards. yet despite his menacing appearance and flat head screwdriver styled tail tip...His chest fluff made him look like he was extra fluffy.

"Fear me mortals! I bring domination to your world! And I will do it...With cookies!" Suddenly the anthro Dexdorugamon was holding a basket of cookies in one of his paws and tossed them at the crowd, at which they all started roaring even louder in applauds.

"Ahem...heh...I guess the dark lord himself is very generous tonight." Scavenger snickered and turned to the other door, this one a good deal taller and wider...as a Shiny colored Charizard stomped out of the doors frame. Or...he tried too! The poor guy got his gut stuck in the frame as he started wiggling in place. "Uh...technical difficulty peo-"

He was cut off as the Charizard started shifting into what could only be described as a Muk like pokemon with the color scheme of the Charizard. he'd sloshed his way out of the door's frame and once he was completely free, he started shaping back into his big bellied form, his stomach wobbling as he got up to his feet. "never mind! Introducing Scaly! He's a Charizard that came all this way to take part in our wonderful competition. And by stroke of luck! Or misfortune...he's been paired against a digimon!"

Scales sighed and began to shrink his body to a bit more of a managable size. His belly was still quite large, but he could move a lot easier, and didn't have to worry about taking up the whole space of the ring. "Let's just have fun alright?" He asked with a bright smile.

Scav nodded at the Charizard's insistance. "Well if that's what both fighters have to say as their opening statements...let's get the show on the road!"

With another snap of his fingers, suddenly the stage began to shake and stretch...while parts started crumbling, the center in which both Scaly and Dex found themselves standing in, started hovering into the air as they found themselves standing ontop of a floating pile of ruins...Broken stone pillars decorated the landscape, with a few platforms being held in place by the pillars, while right in the middle in the background of their stage was what appeared to be an altar. With the stars shining above them, and some familiar Sinnoh music playing in the background it didn't take them long to realize that they'd been transported to the spear pillar.

"Oooh good choice!" Scaly grinned, trying to snap his fingers to see if he could make anything happen like Scav had done, but nothing happened.

"Three...Two...One...GO!"

"Power...Metal!" Dex lifted his head up before spewing out a large metal cannonball with a nice dark shade surrounding it...It would bounce off of Scaly's belly, which absorbed the shock of the impact but the Charizard definitely felt the strength of the hit as he took a step back, wincing.

Charizards already had a moveset in the tournament style they were competing in so he decided to try and play by those exactly rules. He'd start charging towards Dex and used a rock smash once he'd gotten close, the resulting impact knocking Dex back a few inches, enough time for Scaly to take a breath and let loose a flamethrower in the direction of the Dexdorugamon.

The heat was scorching...And while it felt like he was baking in an oven, the rules of the tournament prevented him from taking dangerous burns. That didn't help his chest fluff however which was kind of smoldering! He used a paw to slap away the fires then jumped onto one of the spear pillar platforms and swiped at Scaly's face with his Chaos Claw attack.

The scratching, while annoying...wasn't enough to do enough damage to subdue the flaming lizard, who suddenly reached out and grabbed Dex by the tail with his jaws, though instead of swallowing, he lifted Dex towards his wings and used them to smack the Dexdorugamon a few times and chip away at his stamina before tossing him to the side.

Both mons weren't doing a whole lot of damage to earn themselves the win, but the battle could quickly turn in either's favor
