Yet another of my attempts with original media. I'm still struggling.
I'm moderately certain I'm at least improving in fur technique. . . it's the lighting and setting I often have trouble with. But it's kind of exciting. I'm so damned accustomed to digital, it gets a little 'blah' on me. . . traditional media allows me to get my hands dirty, and wrapping my brain around all the different things I can do is an endless adventure.
This guy represents my third foray into traditional media, of late. He'll be up for sale at the FC Artshow, and I'm hoping he'll find a home. I won't deny he was highly inspired by my love of DnD and all things fantasy.

Just reminded me of the stuff collected here: http://therafimrpg.wikidot.com/beastfolk when you mentioned your love of D&D.
The furwork looks quite good to me, but then, I am not a professional artist. But then again, I think that if you can create a cutie like this so that I want to stroke his painted fur, then you must be doing all right.
