I found out that this pairing (Ralph x Felix, which I have been calling "RalFeli") is known in the fandom as "The Yows". But I can't for the life of me figure out how it got that name, and since the only definition I know of "yow" is a female sheep...this happened.
(Well, Ralph's still a male sheep I guess? Because I couldn't make his hooves as big as I'd like, so I gave him square-ish horns. But for the sake of this dumb concept, Felix at least is a yow, for now.)
This project actually took a few years off of my life, and I don't know why. I had a hard time "drawing what I saw in my head" for Felix, and ended up doing 80+ sketches of sheep until I could translate what I saw in my head for him. Which meant ignoring a lot of what the "facts" part of my brain was telling me about both sheep and Felix, but that's what it took to make me happy, so. Hooray!
(Also the art/animation lectures I'm reading have suggested sometimes translating an artistic thought into words, rather than trying to capture a fuzzy "image" you have in your head, and PLEASE let me tell you - that shit WORKS.)
It was a long way to go for a dumb joke that literally .1% of my audience will even fully enjoy.
It also spawned a funny AU fever dream, after the first night FULL (and I mean FULL, hours worth) of sheepish failed attempts.
After researching sheep, recollecting The Plague Dogs (this is how I learned the word "yow"), and staring at reference images of Felix for hours, I dreamt that Ralph and Felix here lived on a farm all nice and happy, until a farmer decided Felix wasn't worth keeping, because he's so small. The farmer was about to slaughter Felix (look, some of the articles I read about sheep for research weren't very nice, and dreams aren't always nice either!), but Ralph bust through the pen and they both ran for it, and became the feral gay sheep couple they were always meant to be.
I can't believe I've written this, and I bet you can't believe you've read it, but here we both are.

YOU KNOW? When the first person said it to me, after I said I liked Ralph x Felix, and they replied "I don't care much for the yows", I THOUGHT that was just a funny way to say "yaoi". It wasn't until I heard it again later that day that I realized this was a fandom term and I googled it. xD

3D animation from 2016 and recently made a sequel, some criticizes it for being a "movie for furries", but I saw it (in Russian and English) and I like it.

Personally, I enjoyed more the Russian version (better voice acting I think) than the english dub ^^;

Well that’s all well and good but Felix canonically in the story is married. he married the commander of the on-rails alien shooter from the first movie I mean granted they can still be friends but other than that I don’t see that happening sorry to burst your bubble there but canonically this isn’t a thing it is cute though I’m not gonna lie
