the path to the Delicate Arch is treacherous. However, I think it was a bit easier when it was about 16 degrees outside rather than 100. It's easier to get warm than to get cool.

The arch itself is surrounded by one tremendous dropoff into a big stone cliff and a lot of snow. I wasn't adventurous enough to get any closer than this, owing to the slickness of my shoes.

It was very pretty in the snow. interesting thing about the snow up there is that it's frozen into big ice crystals. It's like macro-powder snow. You can dig your hand through it and it's like a thousand pieces of paper-thin glass. The scenery was so expansive.
