I've played the game i invented, yeah it has seven different types of magic. Marcus/Mericus can only do five. I structured my game on two rules, it has SC-Fi/High Fantasy and my character, yes through my own creation (NWR-rpg), but i allowed other people to ref. My Game does not use the DM. It does however simular to EVE online, allows everything. I spent roughly 20 years creating it, and have been play testing for thirty. (cost for printing i'm saving up for, publishing is only fifty bucks) I'll need 50,000 copies for the first printing due to large distribution houses demand monstrous orders. If you cannot supply them with 15,000 copies they will not only cancel and never order from you again but will blacklist you. So i better have the volume to handle thier order or i'm ruined before i start. This is the business world, it opperatews on trust and 'what have you done for me lately?' concepts. And they have memories of elephants and believe hearsay against you. So you had better have the volume because profits on thier end will make them reorder regardless of whether they like you or hate your hallitosis with a passion.
Runes are based in Druidic fashion, and or in German Shammanism 'Der Alt Zauberer mit der Zauberstab'. (Not sure of the correct case of the pronoun 'his', auf Deutsche.)
Runes are derived from the forces of nature; Ice, Stone, Growth, Chaos, Mist and Fire. You use Will Power to 'craft' Runes. though interlocked in one two or three finger visible lines in the air/aether resembling a Russian Letter 'Ya' or a backwards capital 'R'.
This Game New World Rising might hit store shelves finally in a couple years. It is a paper and pencil game at present. The size of the game is simular to Second Life.
