Come to f**king Queenstown already!
OMG another post by me today! Sorry folks- this is the last one for the day, and tomorrow I shall resume older gifts and commissions that I hadn't posted yet. A good friend of mine just sent me the pics from our Queenstown trip at the end of last year, and if the last photo I posted of this amazing place didn't give you the travel bug, then I present to you another incredible view!

Awwww- but don't you instead have all the sun and beaches and stuff?! Normally I don't like the cold much, but Queenstown just has this.... vibe about it, and the air was so crisp and clean that it didn't feel too cold. It was like, 2-4 degrees Celsius (sorry- I can't do fharenkleejlestiffyheit!) while I was there....

this afternoon was so HOT!!... srsly i was like about to burn alive 8(!! and the worst part its that i was at the University... and i was waay too pissed cuz i had to w8 for the next class D:!! and i was outdoors the building so all the sunrays crashed on my face! so yeah ive been talking to much xd!!

Yay- Kendall! ^^ *squeezes* Aww bud- Australia is harsh, but beautiful- are you sure it's not just the situation you're stuck in? Once you guys get on your own 2 feet it will all be good, I'm sure.

I will admit that a great deal of it is due to the situation we are in, but so many Aussies are VERY anti-American so we are constantly getting bad attitudes, even after I tell them that I'm Australian by birth. The list of issues not related to our situation is a decent length, but that's the most depressing one of the lot.
The biggest problem in our way at this point is to (SOMEHOW) come up with $5000 in the bank for Ike to get the work and holiday visa.
What's frustrating is that we don't need to spend any of the money and the cost for the ticket and visa are within my means, the Aus government just wants to see the $5000 in the account so they know that Ike has "start-up funds".
So with the fact that the $5000 won't be spent, I've asked all of my family to give me a loan and they'd have all of the money back within just over a fortnight so they wouldn't be loosing out on anything but it would be a great help to our progress over here, but nobody is willing to spare the money, leaving Ike and I still in the bind.
Soooo, we have until April to figure SOMETHING out before Ike has to head back to the US. :(
I'm keeping my fingers crossed but things are looking rather dismal at the moment.

Hmmm- in a way, I'm not surprised that other nationalities dislike America, but on the other hand judging Americans based on the country as a whole is fairly ignorant. I couldn't say whether it would be different for you here- only that *I'm* not like that! XD

Still in the same situation, time is fleeting and I'm stressed as hell. I'm going to Tafe at the moment so that is absorbing all of my free time. I feel horrible because we are going to have to send Ike back to the U.S. since finantially we don't have a snowball's chance in hell to save up the $5000 that aus wants to see in our account.
I'm looking into a work visa for Ike in NZ so may be I can send him over there and he can save up what he earns untill he fulfills the criteria for the aus work visa. I don't know, I'm kinda grasping at straws at this point.

Hmmm- well let me know if there's any info I might have easier access to. Fair warning that I'm not online much at all at the moment due to my job, but I'll do what I can! $5k in your bank is just stupid- what do they think he wants a bloody job *for*?!!
Allo, finally some good news! We have arranged for the $5,000 for ikes visa and a flight over to NZ this coming Thursday, all we have to do now is arrange a place for Ike to stay and the ammount needed for the visa fee.
I know this is incredibly short notice, but could Ike take you up on your offer to stay at your place while in NZ? He will be in NZ for 15 days and (of course) all of his costs will be covered, we just need something to say he has a place arranged so the customs people don't think he's going to be on the streets while he's there. If this'd be possible we would be infinitely grateful.

Heya- humble apologies, bud- I previously hadn't had time for FA for quite a while, what with everything going on.
Also, turns out I wasn't a particularly good host or representative of NZ for Ike's stay- something I'm sure I'll regret for a long time to come. Sorry I wasn't there when you needed me- unfortunate timing, to say the least.

I understand how murphey's law can make life awquard and neither Ike or I are upset about what transpired.
I knew it was a last minute, emergency situation and concidering your busy schedule it was a major infringement on you to reschedule your life to keep an eye on Ike, I apologize for making the request of you, so don't feel off-put by how it played out.
I really hope that Ike and I will be able to make a planned trip over to see you at some point, so that I can finally meet you in person and the three of us can get in some quality "hang-out" time.

I get a bit flustered when my decisions affect other people, and sometimes shut down instead of being decisive in a situation- it leads to wasted time and dishonourable behaviour through lack of communication, which is not something I am proud of.
