The left eye got a fast-developing cataracts and fog up her left field of view, she bandage it to prevent some sharp glares and sand because campus is sitting on a desert so it might get in her eye and damage it and getting an infection is least of her worries
Also to prevent some unwanted poking, just because her left view is fogged up doesn't she can't feel the sharp poking nail or claw
