Art didn't know how long he was unconscious, not when all he could see and feel was blackness.

But then, he felt his body waking up slowly. He felt somewhere soft, warm, and safe. Was he alive or dead? He didn't know.

Then he felt that now familiar other energy from a creature that exuded both power and calm. Who was this mysterious being, and what did it want with him? There was only one way to know.

His eyes began to open, light breaking through the remaining darkness. And there starting back at him was the other creature. She was younger than him, perhaps a teenager, and looked like a humanoid purple dragon. He couldn't help but let out an audible gasp.

The watchful dragon girl's face changed from concern to surprise as she suddenly hurried out of the room with an unnatural speed.

"He's awake!" presumably the dragon girl said, "Come quick!"
